Electronic Evidence Discovery Becomes Exclusive Reseller of Altien for Corporate Legal
Software leverages IBM FileNet platform; Provides law departments with better control
KIRKLAND, WA—October 30, 2007— Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc., and Altien Limited today announced that EED has been appointed the exclusive reseller in the U.S. market of the Altien for Corporate Legal solution.
Altien for Corporate Legal is an easy-to-use solution designed specifically for legal departments in major corporations. The software leverages the IBM FileNet enterprise content management platform to provide law departments with better control of their legal document management and related business processes, resulting in reduced costs and risks. In planned future releases, Altien for Corporate Legal will be integrated with EED’s software to provide law departments with a total solution to achieve better control of the end-to-end legal discovery process.

In the past, many corporate legal departments have purchased standalone document management systems. Today, however, Fortune 1000 organizations are seeking to consolidate their use of ECM technology, to enable all their business units and departments to share a common content and process platform. This change is driven by the need to control the explosion in electronic content, to comply with increased regulation, to mitigate litigation risk and to reduce costs. The legal department is necessarily at the heart of these activities.
Altien for Corporate Legal is a software solution that delivers the functionality and usability required by today's in-house legal staff, and which runs on the market-leading IBM ECM P8 platform. With this announcement, EED immediately becomes the exclusive reseller for Altien for Corporate Legal in the United States.
