EED Appoints Terry Murphy Vice President of Review Services
KIRKLAND, WA., June 5th, 2007 - Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc. (EED), one of the leaders in the eDiscovery market, today announced that Terry Murphy has joined the company as Vice President of Review Services. In this capacity Terry will be responsible for developing staffing services that allow clients to optimize Discovery Partner™, EED’s review tool, to conduct efficient and cost-effective document review. Terry will work in conjunction with our Client Services Team to develop a workflow and staffing model that will allow EED’s steadily increasing client base, made up of the world’s top law firms and Fortune 100 companies, to consistently experience review rates in excess of 150 documents per hour.
“Terry’s experience in assembling just-in-time attorney teams in response to the document review needs of both law firms and corporations across the United States adds considerable depth to EED’s already existing resources devoted to document review,” said Regina Chepalis, EED’s Chief Operating Officer. “Combining staffing, facilities, technology and process enables our clients to have one consolidated approach for managing the entire review process from start to finish.”
Document review services account for approximately 80% of electronic discovery costs and are currently managed by law firm/corporate in-house attorneys, law firms/corporations hiring lower cost contract attorneys, or law firms/corporations outsourcing review to service providers. EED believes that optimizing the technology through staff and facility management will allow corporations to realize the greatest return on their investment – consistency and higher review speed.
"EED is well known as a leader in the eDiscovery industry and has a reputation for delivering customized products and services in response to the needs of its clients," said Murphy. "I am excited to join EED at a time when the company is responding to our customers’ need for more productive document review.” Prior to joining EED, Murphy served six years as Vice President, Kelly Law Registry, the legal staffing division of Kelly Services, Inc., where he provided strategic leadership for areas of the legal review services business including business development, sales, operations and product planning
