Jessen to address how to meet eDiscovery responsibilities when data is managed by third parties
KIRKLAND, Wash. – May 16, 2008 – Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc., (EED) a leader in full service eDiscovery solutions, today announced that company founder John Jessen will speak at the National Conference on Managing Electronic Records (MER) in Chicago on May 19th.
John has contributed to countless legal journals and publications, serves on eight professional boards and organizations, and has spoken at more than 130 conferences and forums on electronic evidence, including guest lectures at Harvard Law and the University of Washington Law School. He regularly conducts courses for law firms and federal judges on the latest technology and policies related to electronic discovery.
Jessen will co-present with Hon. Ronald Hedges, a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group at Nixon Peabody, on “Meeting Discovery Responsibilities when Records are Managed by Third-Party Providers.”
Jessen and Hedges’ presentation will provide attendees with a variety of tools to help them develop and implement comprehensive, systematic and defensible electronic management and discovery programs. Among these tools are identifying specific third-party data issues and problems facing the organization; developing and implementing policies and procedures for both the organization and third parties to help reduce risk; and defining priorities and an action plan, including gaining senior-level support and buy-in.
MER, an annual event since 1993, is a focused conference addressing issues and challenges of managing electronic records from the legal, technical and operational perspectives.
EED provides full-service legal discovery solutions to help companies significantly reduce legal exposure and gain control over eDiscovery processes.
