John H. Jessen — Founder and Chairman of the Board

John Jessen founded EED in 1987 to address the growing number of electronic evidence issues he saw facing the legal profession. John hired a diverse team of technical and legal experts to create the first, and now largest, company in the industry. Formerly chief executive officer for EED, Jessen now focuses on long-term company strategy.

John has contributed to countless legal journals and publications, serves on eight professional boards and organizations, and has spoken at more than 130 conferences and forums on electronic evidence, including guest lectures at Harvard Law and the University of Washington Law School. He regularly conducts courses for law firms and federal judges on the latest technology and policies related to electronic discovery.

John is a member of the National Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Computer Security Association (NCSA) and the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM). He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Washington and completed the Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Eric J. Lee

Mr. Lee joined WCAS in 1999 and focuses on investments in the information & business services and healthcare industries. Before joining WCAS, he worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Mergers & Acquisitions and High Technology investment banking groups. Mr. Lee graduated from Harvard University in 1994.

Robert A. Minicucci

Mr. Minicucci, a member of the Management Committee, joined WCAS in 1993 and focuses on the information & business services industry. Prior to joining WCAS, Mr. Minicucci was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Data Corporation (FDC). Before joining FDC, he served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of the American Express Company. He also spent 12 years at Lehman Brothers where he was a Managing Director. Mr. Minicucci graduated from Amherst College in 1975 and received an M.B.A from Harvard Business School in 1979.

Rich Aiello

Rich Aiello is a senior operating executive at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, the largest private equity investor in information and business services and in healthcare. Before joining Welsh, Rich worked for 11 years at First Data Corporation, most recently as senior vice president for strategic investments. Prior to First Data, Rich was a member of the mergers and acquisitions team at Card Establishment Services. Rich also spent several years working in the Merchant Acquiring division of Citibank. Rich has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stony Brook University in New York.
